    Hi folks,

Here is a pic of my broken mirror.

    imgur.com/C3sjluh,ZNImdsY,H3JBGJd#1

I am looking at replacement glass, but the ebay ad says that I should stick it onto the old glass. "Easy to fit over an existing broken mirror glass."

As you can see from the photo it's in pieces so I don't know how that will work? Can I take out all the old glass and just stick the new one in?

    I'm a total noob. Thanks!

Have a look in a few scrap yards or done deal, adverts for lads breaking a similar car. You'll pick one up for cheap enough I'd have thought.

Just one question is the glass all thats broken? Just that the whole unit is off the car.

I had a similar "clacking" of mirrors and it was a whole new unit needed.

    All the best

If it's just the glass, cut out a cardboard template of the glass shape and bring it into any ordinary window / glass shop. They'll cut one on the spot for you. Probably cost € 5-10 .

Yes it's just the glass that's broken. The plastic piece the glass is house in can be attached back into the unit, which is not broken.

Another noob question ... my central locking works for only two out of four doors. What could be causing this? The actuator on each door?

I think that method is the most popular repair for mirrors. As the ad says the new glass simply sticks on the old glass. It has an adhesive backing and if correctly sized is basically unnoticeable. If the glass in your mirror unit isn't loose it would work on that too.
