Where is the best place to rent foreign and indie movies, the type that would be showing in the Lighthouse and IFI,

I would prefer online rental, if possible.

Does it have to be physical DVD / BluRay rental? Because Volta is run by the same people who run the Lighthouse and they usually put up a lot of films at the same time as their theatrical run. Curzon based in the UK are better again in terms of selection, but a bit pricier when it comes to simultaneous releases. And iTunes tend to get most stuff too, once it has been released on DVD.

If you can get a US credit card or prepaid one then Amazon is fantastic for VOD. Thewe days a huge number of films are available to rent through VOD well before their theatrical release.iTunes is similar in having access to such content and between the two you should more than enough to keep you busy
