I don't know, apparently there are no guns in Ireland and only rich people hunt.

How true though, I love going out on my horse, looking down at the lower classes and hunting with my guns. All of them.
    are you saying you dont?

My meeting with the super last week where he gave me my third rifle must have been a dream

It is plainly obvious that the host knows even less about shooting than the half-wit reporter.

'Dumb and Dumber' couldn't have done it worse.

    What pair of total klutzes.

Well if the Celtic tiger ever returns to our poor shores , Hopefully I'll be able to afford to get into the elite hunting circles.
First job on the list would be to shoot him with a ball of his own ****e!
He's some advertisement for the Irish abroad .

He seems to have totally missed the point, if indeed he was actually aware of it, that undertaking an activity that is written into the actual constitution as a right of citizenship is quite different from doing the same thing in a country where it is a relatively expensive and personally intrusive privilege.

I suggest that next time he goes to Knob Creek Kentucky, where he can do some seriously noisy shooting.

that reporter is a gimp of the highest order ,

In fairness he is probably representative of a lot of people in ireland
From personal experience friends of mine were shocked when i got my first firearm
They thought it was illegal to own a gun
Saying that quality research on his part

Sure we're still in a famine and drinking in fields with leprechauns singing too-ra-la and fiddle-dee-da. Also pay the local landlord in rabbits and turnips

Sometimes the truth does'nt fit the narrative in which case it becomes inconvenient, happens a lot these days.

Just sent the chap a very constructive email asking him very politely not to continue to perpetuate the "tick mick" stigma! no wonder the yanks have such strange opinions when we have lads like him acting like that

I wouldn't mind but it must be one of the queerest hoor in the country they interviewed

to be fair the guy just emailed me back twice and seems a nice chap. he reckons it was a light hearted piece and not what he normally does. Jammy git ending up in the states as a news caster id say thats a crackin job!

The problem is that it is very difficult to be 'light-hearted' about a subject that is so engendering of polarisation as shooting sports.

There can be no such thing as a cursory glimpse, and it certainly deserves a more serious approach than the one employed by this omadán.

His place on TV is definitely right there with the other Muppets.

He is probably encouraged to act like that and his bosses would get someone else if he didn't! I know lads who worked in a resort in America for the summer and were encouraged to come to work drunk as the tourists would love to see a drunk paddy!

The chap obviously comes from a non shooting environment in Ireland as the majority do. So he passes a silly remark based on his own perception - don't think it's a reason to get upset (or abusive).
