Anyone got these books. Barry Murray from Optimumnitrition4sports recommended them to me. If anyone had a 2nd hand one they don't want I'll gladly take it off them.

Are they handy enough dishes to make? Do they list them by recovery stage? I mean would they say right, after a hard session eat this, or on an easy day eat this etc.

All the ones I've cooked are handy enough. They don't split them like that, it's more like a traditional cook book breakfasts, lunch, dinner, snacks, deserts etc.

1 recipe per page with a picture of the dish on opposite side. Top of page gives servings and prep time, bottom of page gives carb, protein, fat etc breakdown.

In feed zone he gives a few line intro to each dish sometimes touches on whether it's good for after hard cycle, or to prep beforehand for after, to freeze snack overnight before ride etc.

Both books have a chapter into breaking down the why and the reasoning behind the ingredient choices, how much cyclists need etc. Interesting read anyways.

Experimenting with the portables at the moment. Sticky rice souffle with bacon my current favourite for mid morning snack in work. Trying to make some of the rice cakes now to replace bars on my longer cycles.

Who wouldn't want a chicken masala rice cake halfway up the sally gap?

+1 on the feed zone cookbook. Savage recipes. Empanadas take a bit of work but worth it. Must get the portables book.

Sound guys. Really appreciate the feedback. Must have books by the sounds of it. Seem like a really innovative cycling company just going by their blog. It will be my wife who does the cooking so maybe I'll pick these books up as an early birthday present for her (9 months early) and tippex over any mention of cycling? :D
