Additional radio stations on Saorview ?

    Since the start of Mux 2 I've noticed there are quite a few blank signals in the radio section of my STBs from Saorview.

    Does this mean new radio services eventually, or is this just wishful thinking ?????

    Rather than start a fresh thread ;)

    Is there any sign of anyone other than RTE paying a few bob to carry their stations on saorview - I'm thinking first and foremost about Today FM and Newstalk of course but others like the bigger Dublin an Cork stations? The amount of bandwidth is very modest.

    More important, can they disable the screen display that shows when a radio station is played? It is burning my screen.

    Yep that as well, BBC have a screen saver on Freesat.

    Weren't they on Saorview at one stage ?

    Some TV's (eg Sony Bravia) allow the picture to be switched off when listening to the radio.

    My LG does, but every time the volume is changed, the picture pops back on - very irritating. It should be possible to prevent the MHEG5 display, or it should dim and disappear after a few minutes.
