No unless you have self leveling and headlight washer unit.

I am in same boat and will miss them.

    RIP HID aftermarket lights:mad:

It's a very good thing that they finally started taking care of those "after market HIDs".
They cause way more bad than good for anyone.

Not in projecter headlamps once fitted correctly and focused properly in my experience seem fine and come across plenty.

Fully agree with the reflector headlamps such as in Focus, VW golf, Honda especially 99 model civics, where they blind the sh1t out of oncoming traffic.

Also the other problem is they are putting inabove 6000k so the light density is some change.

Loads have converted their fog lights also.

Not necessarily. Incompatible headlight housings are the problem, not the HIDs themselves. Get it right.

I looked into this a while ago this is what I remember.
must be in a head light housing marked for HID
    must have headlight washer system
must have either self leveling or adjustable leveling (most cars have this) or auto light leveling.

NCT have a description on this on their site.
You might just need light washers if your car has projectors.

Be a bit of a pain to install after maker washers on cars that never had them.

    Check it out.

What really annoys me about aftermarket HIDs is some people just assume if the lamp is a little more blue its HID. True HID lamps are something to behold if you are behind the wheel and it annoys me no end when people half-ass it. Theres no advantage to it unless you put in the time, money and effort. Lights shouldn't be cosmetic!

Blue tint is useless in HID as it gives driver less visibility in the wet.

5000k is probably the highest you should go to have a bright white light and 4300k is the sweet spot for maximum usable light in all weather.

Anything over 5000k is tiring on the eyes and the usable light diminishes the higher the colour temperature you go.

There is a reason why every car manufacturer use around 4300k as this is the exact PEAK colour of our sun and our eyes are tuned to it.

But sticking a HID bulb into a reflector type headlight is illegal and also extremely selfish to other drivers.

If you want to go legal, get proper headlights and cleaning jets (self levelling is not required for NCT)

Personally find 6000 is not too bright on the eye , I have projectors but not cleaning jets , so looking like the candles will be going in for awhile !

It doesnt have to be automatic, but there must be a levelling mechanism in the lights for HID, be it self levelling or via a switch on the dash.

    BOOOOOO!!

Unless the car came with hid from factory of course. Then you don't need jets, of levelling. It's a half arse rule they didn't even think about. In projectors, they should be allowed. I also think 6000k is ok. Higher is a bit much though.
