Looking to make the switch from a lifelong Windows user to mac. The girlfriend has done the same. She got the air with 8GB ram. Imovie would be ok to do some video editing on it I presume? What about FCP? Would it be able to handle it at all, or am I better off waiting until I get a macbook pro? Thanks.

I use a 11" MBA with 8GB Ram and i7 for FCPX. No major problems. I have a 512SSD in it too so space not an big issue. Works fine.
