The BIS/UCC Diploma in Applied Business Computing starting September 2014 is now open for applications.

This two year level 6 programme is aimed at people who are long-term unemployed and offers a great opportunity to upskill in areas such as web design, programming with Microsoft Visual Basic.NET, computer networking, Oracle database and SQL, Multimedia, Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

People who have been in receipt of social welfare for 9 months or more will be eligible for BTEA (Back to Education Allowance).

Recent graduates of the course have gone on to employment in the likes of EMC and VMWare or progressed to degree level (students are eligible to enter the second year of the Business Information Systems Degree in CIT).

Please pass on this information to any friends or family members who may be unemployed and looking to reskill for employment in an industry with excellent employment prospects.
