I have no clue what it would cost really but in around a grand would be enough id say. That 1.4 wouldnt be an engine anyone would be rushing to locate.

What makes the mechanic think you need a new engine anyway?

He thinks the belt slipped a tooth, I don't know a lot about cars just the basics
