Hi, Is it possible to put a USB port on a TV that doesn't have one? i.e. through a cable/connector to another port type?

Not as far as I know. The TV would require major updates to the main board, power distribution, processor... Bottom line €€€ and lots of it.
Try a Raspberry Pi / WD TV / smart Bluray player or something similar to add multimedia support if that's what your after.

    Not easily...
Why do you want a usb port? Its probably easier to buy an accessory to do the job you want....
