    Hi all,
looking for films that I could show my 4 year old to get him away from watching animated movies. Basically he loves anything that is slap-stick like Home Alone etc... I was thinking maybe some classics like laural and Hardy etc, but having never watched these type of films myself im at a loss...
    thanks in advance

The three stooges & the Marx bros would be good examples of slapstick from that era too.

Definitely go for Laurel & Hardy & The Three Stooges.

Buster Keaton & Charlie Chaplin should also be on the list.

Any ideas for kids movies that don't rely on (faux) violence?

Now that I think of it, the only kids movies that come to mind that don't have any form of violence are he Tweenies or whatever. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid? I think that might have zero violence in it, but I'm not sure. Is it zero violence you're looking for, or am I misunderstanding?

I thought the An American Tail films were great as a kid. I remember the first two being excellent. You might remember them yourself; if you have already prepare for nostalgia!

(I just watched these clips myself for the 1st time in 18 years!)

Edit: I just realised you said no animated movies, I'm at a loss to your question now

Loved those three as a kid.
