Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hey,

    Im heading to Tarifa for my first time for a week of kiting in a couple of weeks.

    Anybody have any tips on kiting in Tarifa such as best spots etc, especially if there is westerly wind?

    Any recommendations on bars and restaurants would also be most welcome.

    it's times like these when Kitesurfing.ie is really missed - oceans of info about Tarifa on there.

    Not sure if Summer officially starts in Tarifa in May or June - basically a couple of spots (closest to town) become restricted to bathers during Summer.

    Apart from that Valdevaqueros is great and is a couple of km out from town. The other main spot is closer to town and is easily found by looking at the skies.

    Restaurants - make sure you go to La Vaca Loco in your first day or two. Small place but brilliant. Noormally go there 3-4 times out of 6-7 when we go to Tarifa.
