Hello all.. I have had my eye on the rx8.. do they only come with the 1.3 rotary engine.. Iv seen them advertised as a 1.7 but I'm not sure if this is piston engine? Thanks in advance

Some were classed as 1.3 litre originally for motor tax purposes while others were classed as 1.7/1.8 litre but they all had the same basic rotary lump. There were 2 versions though, 192bhp and 231bhp and there were some differences under the bonnet to differentiate between the two.

If you do a search on the main motors forum there are plenty of useful threads on the RX-8 including posts from owners.
