I follow some quiet forums and would hate to think that they will be deleted because they don't have a high post count. Surely its not too much to ask that they be left alone to their own devices, i doubt they take up much real estate on the servers. Down with this sort of thing !

It's not solely because the forum is quiet. There was a majority view expressed here that the Games Category as a whole, is bloated, has some largely redundant and quiet/dead forums, & needs to be condensed down. This forum isn't doing very well, & it has been decided to retire it. None of the content will be lost, & we'll save it all if we have to. Strategy doesn't doesn't hold its own as a forum anymore, though when the Steam & Valve forum becomes the PC Gaming forum next week, we'll still be able to discuss anything & everything related to Strategy over in that forum.

PC Gaming will allow us to keep the door open for discussion on subjects like Strategy (and others, all under one roof), without having to have several quiet/dead forums spread all over the category. We're currently in the middle of discussing how to save ALL of the content from this forum, so nothing will be lost.

Fair enough - I didn't realise the other forum was rebranding. I'll be more likely to visit a busier PC gaming forum than a quieter one.
