Concrete Patio Substructure

    Hi,

We have a contracted a specialist to pour and polish a small patio in the back garden. The builder on-site has to ready the area for him by excavating/disposing some soil, installing hardcore and building a wooden frame for the concrete to be poured into.

My builders quote is over 33% higher than the quote from the specialist to pour and polish the concrete. This seems crazy high to me but I really don't know. Grateful to anyone in the know who could give me an approximate cost per square metre for this type of work.

    Cheers
