    Letters to the Echo - Roundys Bar, Tralee - 28 June 2014 - 10pm-closing
I'm a member of the above Letters to the Echo and would like to invite you, the Boards' Country Loving Community, to our next gig.

We are a Cork based outfit put together to play the music of our leader, one Kieran Barry Violet. We do stray into something like jazz and blues at times but country fans will appreciate much of what we do. With song titles such as Darleen, Patsy Cline, Saratoga Lights, One more thing, Say it isn't so and Tall Girl our country influences are there to behold.

So if you want a night out to wear your ten gallon hat (or not) and to hear some quality original music we look forward to seeing you. There is no cover charge and we may even donate a CD or two to the best dressed person who mentions this ad.

Join us for a celebration of all things country and fun filled for shows on Friday July 25th & Saturday July 26th at one of Ireland’s best venues, The Academy. And most importantly, it’s for charity. In the light of all the Garth Brooks disappointment, we’d like to turn the negative into the positive by promising a great evening of entertainment with a focus on a charity who do great things for the homeless situation in our country – Focus Ireland...

    Focus Ireland:
Focus Ireland is a housing and homelessness charity working to prevent people becoming, remaining or returning to homelessness through the provision of quality services, supported housing, research and advocacy. Founded in 1985 by Sr Stanislaus Kennedy, it works with single adults, families and young people, believing that everyone has a right to a place they can call home, which is safe, secure, affordable and appropriate to their needs.

    The Entertainment:

The Irish Garth Books Experience – 7 Piece Live Band:
Featuring renowned local star Adrian O’Reilly as Garth Brooks, this pulsating live show highlights all the classics; ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’, ‘Friends In Low Places, ‘Baton Rouge’, ‘Shameless’, ‘The River’, and ‘The Dance’, to name a few... Coupled with full venue production and a stunning stage and light show, the performance delivers a spectacle extraordinaire for all in attendance.

With it’s unequalled sound, this tribute act features some of Ireland’s most respected country and western performers. Frank Downey on steel guitar, Barry Conboy on lead guitar, Brendan Reilly on acoustic guitar and backing vocals, Tommy Meehan on bass guitar and backing vocals, Padraic Harris on keyboards and Pierre Greijmans on drums, combining to create the ultimate country rock experience!

    Big Dave’s Country & 80’s & 90’s Disco Roadshow:
Each night, following on from the live band and taking you through to the wee small hours is superstar DJ (to his Mammy) Big Dave and his Country & 80’s & 90’s Disco Roadshow. The roadshow does what it says on the tin! All the big country music artists and all their hits with a mix of 80’s & 90’s nostalgia, guaranteed to set the dancefloor on fire!

In addition to the great music, there’s an abundance of activity and bits and pieces, including great food and drink deals – Make sure to grab some food at the sizzling summer BBQ before working it off on the Bucking Bronco in the Rodeo Saloon. What more to say? Get your cowboy and cowgirl on!

Tickets €22.90 including booking fee from Ticketmaster nationwide. Phone & internet bookings subject to 12.5% Service charge per ticket / agents €2.15 per ticket. Tickets will also be available at the venue on the night of each event from 9pm. Note: Admission to Big Dave’s Country & 80’s & 90’s Disco Roadshow is included in ticket price or €10 after 12am.
