    Hey,

About to view a 2009 superb, it has 100k miles on the clock, timing belt has been and from my quick look through the service manual its all been done through a mains dealer.

What do I need to be on the lookout for?

Its a 2l tdi, not the 1.9. Would you be put off by the mileage?

Is it the 140 or 170?

There are a few non common rail 140s about and I'd much rather the newer engine in one.

Every used diesel seems to have 100 k miles on it. Make sure it's genuine with a vehicle history check.

Try and see can you get an engine code from the car. In 09/10 there was a cross over in engines. One is more linear and quieter than the other.

I thought all the 2.0 litre TDi engine in the second generation Superb were CR engines? Timing belt and water pump change interval on the CR engines is every 100k miles or 5 years.

Nope, earlier ones had PD engines. All the 170s were CR though.
