Detachable auger ?

I got a hole sunk by digger and filled back around about 5 ft deep but need to go down another 2-3 ft
Is there a thing like an auger that you can fit an extension between the engine and auger bit to get it down deep enough
8'' bit would do i think

That suggests that you want to go down to about 8 ft. To do that you are back to a digger or a well borer!

True. , digger isnt really on
I only need approx 2 ft , but that 2ft is 5ft or so down ,
Whats a well borer ?

Unfortunately a well borer is a big rig operated by a boring company to drive wells, and not something you could hire (unless you want them do drive a well for you). A post hole borer would only go down about 2 ft from the surface. Have you considered a micro-digger? It's a small machine not much bigger than a ride-on mower, and it would easily dig out an eight-foot hole. Average cost from plant hire firms is around €100 a day, but if you hire it over a weekend you get two days for €100.
