As appealing as it may be to some, please don't make claims of criminal activity being committed by anyone without proof.

The Sunday World already blamed someone - not linking here. But appearantly using young crims to do the dirty work. Where to do you apply for that? "Henchmen Wanted - must be good at arson, theft and free to travel"

Lagan chairman Kevin Lagan received a letter saying that if the sale went ahead, the buyers “would not live to see the benefits of the sale”. He received the letter on the day his wife died.

Death threats would be a criminal activity I would think?
A series of attacks included setting fire to machinery and vehicles in Lagan premises in counties Cork and Down, causing an estimated €1 million worth of damage.

Arson would also be a crime unless its spontaneous combustion.
The attacks and intimidation recorded by the Aventas management on the businesses outside Derrylin include vehicles being set on fire, key parts of the manufacturing process being sabotaged, senior management being tailed when driving from the former Quinn premises, senior management receiving threats by phone, text and mail, and a truck being driven into the workers’ canteen
    .

You cant say that this is coincidence.

I don't think we should speculate as to whom is responsible but in court this would go down Circumstantial evidence, its far to interlinked to be coincidental.

Isn't it a funny country, when there is an outcry that those who tried to save a bank were not jailed, and the guy who actually destroyed the bank is a hero?

It's not about this story, people were accusing the Quinns of illegality. Sorry, I should have made that clear. I deleted their posts

Ah right, agree with you there. They may or may not be behind this but they have some radical supporters that I am sure are under investigation.

Some people have the intellegence of a dead parrot.

Get let go from the Quinn Group- unfortunate, but there you go. The whole Anglo fiasco affected an awful lot of people.

6 Months down the road, another entrepeneur starts up and is looking to recruit.

Interviewer : "I note you were made redundant fro Quinn. That was bad luck, but you have the exact experience we are looking for. Tell me, what have you been doing to occupy yourself since you were let go?"

"Well, I was so pi**ed off with my last employer that I decided to burn out a couple of trucks and smash a few windows. Now, when would you like me to start?"

Look at the comments section where those associated with "Concerned Irish Citizens" such as Patricia Gilheany are tacitly defending what can only be called terrorism.

Given the Quinn Glass sabotage is clearly inside knowledge they need to put the groups employees on notice that another incident and the business moves to where people want to work. I'm sure the Government could provide grants for this move.

They are not targeting their previous employers. These alleged actions are taking place against potential investors who are looking to take over or buy certain assets belonging to the Quinn group.

the implication/suggestion is that someone is trying to stop/put off anyone taking over the business from the reciever.

The only people they are punishing are the taxpayers who took on Anglo and the former Quinn employees who will be out of a job if the business can't be sold as a going concern.

They were not trying to save the bank, only keeping the share price artificially high to try and protect their investments. They did this by providing illegal loans.
