I'm trying to book a one way ticket on irishrail from Dublin to Kerry and the price of an adult is 19.99 while the student ticket is €28. Whats that about?

The adult price is most likely a promotional fare whereas the student fares online tend to be the same as regular booking office student fares.

Just buy whichever is cheaper in this situation ☺

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
