Single Farm Payment Entitlements on Commonage

    Hey I just started farming in August last year and have commonage land. I heard commonage land qualifies for Single Farm Payment entitlements. Is this true. Can anyone verify this.

    I am a young trained farmer and hope to claim post 2015 as my family never held entitlements

    First I am no expert on entitlements etc. Commonage farmers are paid SFP on commonage. Now, how that will work for you as a new farmer I do not know, I would say seek advice from reputable sources, Ag advisors, Teagasc, if you have a good IFA rep in your area. What part of the country are you in?
