So after a hard winters training and getting fit at the last min I had to withdraw/put my racing plans on hold.
Now hopefully from late May onwards I should be able to join chaos HOWEVER this effectivley means just June and July -> August hols -> then whatever races appear in Sept.
So is it worth taking out a licence at this 'late' stage considering the racing season is loaded towards Ras season in May!
    Boarsd'ies speak to me.....

Aye you have 5 months with races almost every weekend in leinster, plus our club league, plus Drogheda Wheelers 6 week Summer league. Lots of racing, alot of it very close to home.

    Thanks.
However....cant do midweek races due to work commitents.
And how do you manage to get 5 months
Considering it will be the last weekend of May/First weekend of June before I can pin a number onto my back and am away for a good chunk of Aug!

If you made the effort to get into shape for open racing, would be a shame to waste it, especially if you can't get the LC license and do the Club League due to work. The license fee is a drop in the ocean of the costs of open racing anyways with 15 euro sign on and 100+ km round trips in the car...

A quick scan of the CI calendar shows that realistically I could get to 7 races in June /July.
I reckon it will take about 2 weeks hard work to get back the strenght/speed I had back in late Feb/March and hopefully that would be enough to make sure I dont get my arse handed to me by lads who have been racing since March.

2 weeks for 7 races and whatever pops up in Sept.

Just go buy a licence bcmf.Dunsany next Sat morning done and dusted for midday will be your starter for ten.
Getting it hard to get this deliverance stuff out of my head though.
Will be avoiding Robfowl during the ras this year.

Nothing I would love more (Dunsany not deliverance) but as I have said the 16th of May is the VERY EARLIEST I can start and the 18th is out then whole of the following weekend. This is the crux of my dilema.
