This thread is meant for users to post bargains relating to football/soccer equipment, similar to the excellent thread they have over in the Golf forum.

It would be good to have a place where people can post links to deals on anything like boots, balls, jerseys, training gear etc., even books or DVDs and the like, and also ask for requests if anyone knows of a good deal for what they are looking for.

I'll get the ball rolling with my latest purchase, a pair of Adidas F50 Adizero Firm Ground boots which I got for €81 with a student discount (€90 normally) which is far cheaper than anywhere else I've seen for the top range boot.
    http://www.lifestylesports.com/en/restofworld/adidas-football-boots/adult-f50-adizero-firm-ground/invt/13201020
They are available in store at that price as well.

And I'll also post a request, can anyone recommend a good football to use on modern astro pitches, that won't cost me a bomb and won't fall apart after a few uses? My problem with footballs that I buy from Lifestyle/Elverys etc is that they are not designed for astro pitches, which are often surrounded by a cage, and they take an absolute battering and the panels come undone after a few sessions. Anyone any suggestions?

Elverys had some good deals on end of season Jerseys.Manchester Utd home away and GK for 29.99 each which is good for B&M. Had jkts sweat tops etc also from a lot of premiership teams.

This is your best best for bargains. Expect less value in common sizes 8-10 and on Adidas and Nike but great bargains to be had. Old top end Puma boots often come in at a great discount.

Postage is £7 but two business day courier service (DPD).

Nike had a rolinho (duravel possibly) but no sign of it anywhere now.

Use the €20 Nike strike ball myself. Was going strong about a month and is now missing a huge chunk. The slightly cheaper adidas balls are nicer to strike but far less durable.

Had a cup semi-final there on Monday night, you have to provide a match ball for the game, so my mate buys the new World Cup Brazuca ball by Adidas for €28. Mid way through the first half and someone plays a cross field pass, the winger took a touch and the ball completely burst. Never seen anything like it.

But yes those Adidas balls are not durable enough for astro, a few lashes at the cage and its done for. I've tried the Nike Strike a bit and it does seem better, may invest. Cheers for the info on the Duravel. Thats exactly what I'm looking for. I had a Mitre "turf" ball which was built for astro and it was far tougher. Only place I can see them to buy is from Nike.com for €26 which is tempting.

FAI website is currently selling Ireland away jersey for 20 euro.

Those adidas WC balls are a joke. The stictchless/heat bonded whatever seams come apart within about a week and half a panel is flapping about.

New version then. The "rolinho duravel" was gone everywhere in a flash after release. Cheers for that. Might pick up one myself!

That's a good jigsaw, tough to complete but worth perseveringly with. A lovely finish.

If you are into that kind of thing, this one of Nick Humby is available at only 15 sterling
Don't just take my word for it, customer satisfaction rating of 4.2 / 5

Nike in blanchardstown have some jerseys for 15euro. Picked up what looked like the last Hertha Berlin one but there was also united, Arsenal, Celtic and Trabsonspor. Obviously not current kits but good value.

I find sportsdirect.com one of the best around for everything, generally only takes a couple of days for delivery too.

Not bad, when we were over there they were €90 in their club shop.

Oddly not many jerseys were swapped that day.

    Howye guys,

Apologies for digging up the thread but didn't think it was worthy of a new thread.

Anybody know where the best place is to buy last season stuff? I'm looking to buy a pair of the Nike Mercurial Vapors, and I noticed any nike boots that go 'end of season' usually drop dramatically in price, for example the Hypervenoms from last season around around €30-40... but I'm looking to get the Mercurials but can't find them that cheaply yet...

Can anyone reccommend a good boot similar to the specialis?

I have been using them for three seasons but can no longer find a size 11/12 pair anywhere (moldies).

    http://www.jdsports.ie/osa:view-sale-items/

Some great bargains in the JD Sports clearance. €4 postage or free to collect in store.

United fans in particular, they have club jackets down from €135 to €25, this season's home and away shorts are €7 (both both myself) and the away jersey for €20.

St.Mirren jersey is €8 for someone looking to buy something to wear to astro/train in. Shamed to admit I am now the proud owner of a St.Mirren away kit lol.

Worth a look, lots of good deals.
