Removed from Electoral Register?

    I've been registered at my current address since 2009 and always receive a polling card in the post.

    Checked checktheregister.ie today and myself and my wife aren't there?

    Can someone else remove you from the register because neither of us have... :confused:

    Am I alone in thinking that this is unreasonable? Surely this is so open to abuse.

    We have a system of compiling the register that is open to abuse and is very inefficient but people must take responsibility themselves. The draft register is prepared every year. You can and should check that you are on it. Before any election there is a supplementary register compiled and if you have been omitted for any reason you can apply to be put on that.
