Guy tries to commit suicide by burning, sets fire to residential building

Basically guy tries to commit suicide by barricading himself in his room and sets fire to the curtains. He panics as the fire spreads, place goes up. Help arrives from neighbours. Presents himself to Gardai, has a problem when he is charged with arson, goes to court, found not guilty, emerges triumphant.

I mean, he set could have burned the whole place down, not to mention it was above an Eddie Rockets. I have sympathy for his problems but...I don't know.

thats a strange one alright! To be honest I would have found him guilty regardless of any mental issues he had,he could have killed someone.

to go from suicide,setting the place on fire then to screaming wanting to get out and start writing blogs on it, think was just a cry for attention??

Seems a weird way to commit suicide. Bit of an attention seeker I think. Destroying someone else's property too.

He's kind of outraged that there was a case of arson made against him. He may have been in the depths of despair but it could have ended up much worse, with many others dying in the process.
