I'm looking into buying a giant tcr composite 2 road bike and I'm wondering if anybody has experience of riding one for amateur training on hills, flats and road races?

Just picked up the composite 1 yesterday evening, I've only done 7k on it so far but loved it, looking forward to taking it out on a proper spin at the weekend.

    Ah, fair enough!

FWIW, mine is a 2014 Comp 2, with the groupset changed out to Uletgra 6700, Keo Barbon Blade pedals, a Specialized Toupe saddle and Planet X 50mm carbon tubs. It's a great bike.

    TCR Composite 1 2014
No additional upgrades apart from ultegra pedals but will get some wheels when I can afford it.

If you're comfortable building the bike yourself and already have wheels and stem, bars, seat post, you can get a Scott Foil frameset + Ultegra Di2 groupset buildkit for €1727 from Westbrook.

Throw in a pair of Aksiums, a saddle, peddles, bar, stem and seatpost and you could still scrape in at the same price as the Giant and have a much prettier, higher speced bike.

Considering my lbs wants €1350 to fit di2 its a serious bargain .€1350 isn't too bad considering the di2 is approx €1200+ retail. It says UK ONLY .would parcel motel work?Have you got one yourself?

IT's £1350, not €1350, just be careful there when doing the sums!

    But yeah, it's serious value.

    I wish I had one myself :(

No idea if PM would work to be honest, you;d have to figure out dimensions and ask them yourself I'd say.

If westbrook won't and PM can't delver to Ireland maybe Cycle Division can? Same deal here:

I see, sorry, totally misread your post. Yeah, that's mad, groupsets are so expensive to buy.

PM will take it but you have to pay more and collect from their depot. I've already enquired !
