How Many Local Shops & Businesses

    Hi,

    Does anyone know where i could obtain a figure for the number of local shops and businesses in Ireland.

    Basically any shop or service orientated businesses that is not owned by a multinational company and that does not operate in more than one country, so ruling out the likes of Tesco, Dunnes, River Island, Top Shop, JD Sports etc...

    I doubt the yellow pages is that up to date anymore, however i don't need to go into that level of detail, i purely just want an estimate figure.
