I have a 6m x 6m marquee that I'll be putting up for the weekend and I'm just wondering what I can do about the ground, is there an easy solution to temporary flooring to stop peoples shoes (mainly high heals) disappearing into the ground?

Any and all suggestions welcome, thanks.

Chipboard? Would work out pretty expensive for a one use event.

Was thinking something like sheets of ply or chip but like you said it would be expensive and would need to find storage until its used again.

Was thinking maybe some cheap carpet with plastic laid under it, this could be rolled up for easier storage, has anyone tried cheap carpet before, any pros/cons to it?

Pretty dry, seems to be drying out as yesterday it was wet, its only damp now and pretty level but I'm levelling a few small patches with topsoil/wood chip later today.

Carpet would probably be OK - what do the Marquee guys do ( I expect thats where you're getting it from and they don't do anything?)?

Grand, thanks. Yes everything I've read online said to use wood chips to level uneven patches, just need to find some cheap tough carpet now.
