There are a few questions here, primarily whether you have been summonsed or otherwise received anything about it. If not, don't worry about it until that happens.

When it does happen, get yourself a solicitor.

No NCT & no tax will carry a hefty fine and five points, but a solicitor can advise you on how to play it/how to plead and the judge might take the circumstances into account (you were moving a car before scrapping it).

No insurance can carry a ban, but if you had an active insurance policy in your name on another vehicle, you may have been insured.

This is why you need a solicitor, to explore the possibilities and make sure you're doing the right thing. But only engage one if you hear anything about the offences.

Another factor might be the condition of the car especially as it was being sold for scrap, e.g. was it road worthy, or was it dangerously defective. Let a solicitor advise you.

Do you hold a driving licence? If so, was it taking off you?

Well I got caught speeding and had the fine posted to me a week later so you may be ok but you should call the NDLS to see if you have any convictions on licence!

So who's in possession of the car?

That's great to hear. I wish they were like that with me. Caught speeding 68 in a 50 zone. I know I shouldn't have been but all the others cars around me were and I was singled out. Still no excuse for my action!

Hilarious. No tax, no insurance, no NCT = no problem.
