    Hi
I've been thinking about buying a spell book (eg- necronomicon). Just if anyone has had any experience with it and if its worth the money?
    (Experiences rather than opinions wanted)
    Thanks

    +1

OP, a quick search shows up numerous pages all outlining the origins and that it's pure fiction.

Yes they do work, and by the way it is the Necronomicon by Simon you want not the Necronomicon by H. P. Lovecraft.

    What do these spells do?

Are you just saying that or do you mean it? I'm not being funny but is there a spell for world peace and if so have why haven't you tried it?

I mean throwing something out there like "magic spells work and they can do anything" is a pretty wild and bold statement to make and to be honest if it were true I think the world wouldn't have the problems it has today.

Update: there are no such things as spells.
    Stop reading Harry Potter.

Reoil, I would advise you read the Paranormal forum CHARTER to familiarise yourself with how discussions must be conducted here. Thanks.

God has warned us in many divine scriptures through Abrahamic religions that profess One God, that magic is akin to disbelief and is a way to sell your soul for something that is worth nothing.

Curiosity and intrigue can be a powerful driving force to find out more. If you insist on seeking knowledge of the occult, then do so with caution and DO NOT "experiment" with anything you find, if you appreciate and value your soul.

To get started with learning about the origins of magic and grimoire, i'd suggest learning about the Jewish and Islamic religions. God tells us many things through the revelations He revealed in scripture.

Magic originated with the prophets King Solomon, son of David (may peace and blessings of God be upon them). Solomon was given a special ring with a seal on it, either a star of David symbol (6 points) or a pentagram (5 points). With it he was able to subdue DJinn (demons), and use their God given abilities for his and his people, the sons of Israel (Jews), benefit.

Narrations recorded (non-divine) say that he buried his books of this knowledge, under his throne in Jerusalem, to prevent people learning about it.

A few centuries later Jerusalem was conquered by the Romans and the Jews were exiled. They fled to Babylon in Persia (modern day Iraq), where they once again learnt about magic. This time God sent angels named Harut and Marut, to offer to teach them (to test their faith). The angels would not teach any of them magic, until they warned them that God had prohibited magic. Some of the Jews chose to disobey and learnt anyway. And so the kabbalist Jews were born. Jews who practised magic, did spells, summoned Jinn, created talismans and amulets. All things prohibited by God. They also wrote a new Jewish scripture called the talmud, which is meant to be very evil and racist, and basically says that all gentiles (non jews) aren't worthy of Heaven and we should all be subservient to Jews etc. From Babylon also emerged all modern secret societies that perform occult practices and rituals, such as the skull and bones society that requires (future US presidents) to ejaculate into coffins, and do all sorts of degrading acts to show their devotion to these forces.

Most significantly the freemasons were born in Babylon. The masons founded America, and all that symbolism on the dollar bill is masonic symbolism. Many other branches of secret societies exist. Maybe some are fictional like the illuminati. just as disinfo to keep people lost in maze of nonsense. Too many organisations to investigate (knights templar, black nobility, etc etc) and too much speculation and conjecture makes it nearly impossible to find concrete truths. So i wouldn't even bother. All you need to know is that magic is dangerous for your soul. It exists, and if you practice sorcery or witchcraft or any other thing affiliated with it, it can be detrimental to your afterlife. Seeking knowledge and seeking truth is how you can help develop your faith in God. When you research and see so many signs it's more foolish not to believe!

All these conspiracies and religions and the state of the greedy evil corporate controlled world we live in today, are all connected. Prophecy tells us that in the last days the world will be ruled by one group. A one world order. It's manifesting right before our eyes, if you choose to see. Most rather their ignorant bliss, but the cold hard slap of reality is coming. The west is about to crumble. These bogus currencies (the euro and dollar) are about to fail. The masses will be crying out for a "saviour" when they're starving with hunger.

Getting carried away, sorry. My point is, it's all true and all connected. Evil zionist fake khazar Jews, along with misguided kabbalist Jews are leading the way. The way to destruction.

It's vital for your salvation that you research and learn about God our Creator and what He has warned us about. The rules He has given us for our own benefit. And what happens when we break those rules.

That was actually a fairly interesting read until the Bible bashing at the end.

I'm sorry, my intention was not to Bible bash.

As a Muslim i believe in the Bible. Unfortunately, there has been people who have corrupted some parts of the Bible, but thanks and praise be to God, He has sent the final revelation (the unchanged Qur'an) which rectifies any falsehoods found within previous scriptures.

It is forbidden for me to hold one prophet in higher esteem than any others. I believe and love Jesus (peace be upon him) and his gospel as i love Moses (peace be upon him) and his torah, as i love Muhammad (salalahu walayhi asalam) and the Qur'an.

All the prophets came with the same message, ultimately. So when i say learn about God and His attributes and what He has commanded, to achieve salvation God willing. I meant learn about all (true) religions. Definitely no Bible bashing. I frequently read the Bible to verify and cross verify information, and to get different perspectives on the same subjects in history. I just chose not to include it in my previous post because info on magic is found in the old testament (mostly Torah) and Qur'an. To my knowledge i don't know of any info on magic in the Gospel of Jesus.

I'm glad you found what i wrote interesting. It means you have the motivation to learn more. You should definitely do that. In the Qur'an the most frequently used word is Allah (SWT). The second is knowledge.

Abd the corruption I assume coincides with where the Qu'ran disagrees with the Bible?

    Yes.

And the divine scriptures that were altered before the Bible also.

I know it might not sound very favourable to the previous revelations and the religions that formed from them, but it's the truth.

God in the Qur'an says that He will preserve and perfect the last revelation, and low and behold a millennium and a half later, it's word for word exact.

The symmetry in the Qur'an is evidence for that, and really it's mind blowing. Every single letter is accounted for. If even one letter was added or removed by a human, the symmetry of the words (and even the letter count for each chapter, and collectively) that we find would not exist. I could list the miracles found within the final revelation, but i'd be writing for too long!

Since the words of the revelation were put into computers, the mathematical miracles discovered are staggering. Not to mention all the science that has been confirmed to be accurate, such as the expansion of the universe. The solar system and how it works. The stages of human growth in the womb. The origins of life on earth. Pretty much everything. Islam answers all lifes questions; such as purpose of life. Islam is for everyone (i'm a Muslim for just over a year btw). The truth is the truth. If you want it, it's there.

So yes when the Qur'an is in contradiction with other scriptures, the Qur'an is the truth. That's (part of) why it exists!

Don't be fooled by all the negative media lies about a religion perfected by God. When you step back and think about it, of course evil forces would go to so much effort to demonise Islam. The word satan comes from the word shaytan in aramaic, the language of Jesus (peace be upon him), which means "the rejected". The rejected are doomed because of their actions and want to drag you down too. So of course the satanic zionist owned corporate media are spewing their lies about Islam and investing so much time and money into it, to keep you away from the truth!

Did you know that according to the Jewish religion, they are NOT allowed to form their own government and country, until the return of their messiah? So when the zionist movement was formed a little over a hundred years ago, to do just that. It spells bad (or good depending on what way you look at it) news for the world. When they have directly disobeyed God by creating the state of Israel in 1948 it can only mean one thing...

No worries, I'm really interested in history and mythology from an academic standpoint - but don't believe any of it.

So it's a bit jarring to me to read a really informative post only to have it turn into 'religion spoken as fact' towards the end :)

On the subject of the OP and spell books, I am also completely skeptical of anything like this and believe it to all be routed in the power of suggestion and confirmation bias. Many people see and believe what they want to hear. That's all well and good for them, but it doesn't make any of it real.

///3power, while your posts are certainly an insight, they are straying very closely to proselytising, which is not allowed here. There are other religious forums within boards where you can discuss your religious beliefs in detail. But not here.

I'm not Muslim but I had some good theology lectures in school when I lived abroad and many of my mates were Muslim. Listening to them talk about their religion and learning about the Quran was fascinating. There is a beauty behind it that unfortunaly is never talked about in the media when religious extremism is what makes the news.

Getting back on topic and speaking from a Christian perspective on magic and spells (and please not this is not me pushing a view, I'm reciting what I learned when I was researching Catholism exorcism for a movie I was involved with). The Cathlic church opposes any dabbling in spells/magic and dabbling in the occult. As far as the church is concerned, magic and curses are real but come from evil and are used by the demons to turn humans away from God.

Similar to what was said above, Christ in the bible warns against it and says that humans need to have faith and trust and we are not to be tempted by the 'dark' arts. Remember n the church's view all magic is evil, there is no difference between white magic and black. (The greatest trick the devil ever pulled etc etc) hence why the church made comment about children and Harry Potter. Even tarot, is believed to have come from the demon Ashtaroth (As'Taroth). I could go on but you get my drift.

What's most interesting about all this is how open and accepting the church is about all this. They accept curses exist and accept phenomenon such as ESP, telepathy and telekenesis etc.

It was a fascinating topic to research. But I'll save the exorcisms bits for another day. :)
