I honestly cannot understand how eircom are still in business, they seem to lurch from one crisis to another.

If you are still with them, do explain to me why...

Ah sure they're a great bunch of Lads

Its grand. Not a bad service since the upgrade. It was shocking before that though.

Wow, thats an expensive email service
Eircom has apologised to its €350,000 email customers, after they restricted access over a so-called "intrusion".

I think they're the only option in some areas.

I know when i was looking at providers, they had slower service for more money than UPC. I know with UPC you "Share" speed with others in your area, but they're still faster

That said UPC love their price increases

UPC is not available to a vast proportion of the country though. Most people in Ireland still only have a choice of Eircom, Vodafone or Sky for fixed line services. Lack of choice is reason most people are with them. You must realise that a lot of people in rural areas can't even get ANY fixed line services at all.

I think eircom did the right thing in shutting down access to emails til the perceived security breach was rectified. Better than thousands of emails addresses possibly being hacked!!

I use hotmail, is that bad? It opens up in outlook on the laptop and my phone and it's great!

I don't want to be changing email address as I've had this one for over 10 years.
