The head is not sitting in the base correctly. There is a switch on the unit that flicks when its in the base correctly

I havent put them into the base so that might be the problem then.

I will try putting them up after I have put them onto the system and see if that works.

    Thanks

Put it on the base and still coming up with a fault when I exit engineering mode.
There is no light on the head when it is up if that makes any difference.

Delete the smoke head off the system and re enroll it.
    This should clear the fault.

I managed to connect the smoke head but it won't pick up the heat detector.

The light flashes when I put the board in but will not pick it up. Would the battary be faulty?

I would not say it is the battery as the light flashes. Try down powering the unit and re-enrolling it.

I have powered down the head all ready and it still does not connect.

Do you mean power down the alarm system?

    Just the sensor head.
There may be an issue with it if it is not connecting to the system.
