Ideas for the Sun

With the good weather today and apparently next week to be fabulous what ideas can boardsies come up with to do in the sun?
I'm good for a quick game of golf now and will try and get a cycle in to the north wall as soon as I get back.
Then I think I'll get a few of the lads over and set up a TV out the back and watch what should be an exciting game of football. Maybe even a few pint bottle of Bulmers but probably not as I don't like drinking during the week.
I'd love to fit a swim in too but I'll be doing well to achieve all of this.

What do boardsies like to do in good weather?
It really is a day to strip off and go for a jump in the sea.

In good weather, I like to read a thread by TeddyTedson.

My preferred thread, is a thread about what I like to do outside on a nice day...while sitting inside.

I absolutely love this sort of weather. Photosynthesis comes to mind :D
One thing I've never been into is sunbathing though. It's boring and so bad for your skin. Stop it.

No. It's fine in moderation and with sun protection. Helps if you're not pasty too.

Buy normal balloons, fill with water so they're bigger than your head, play catch.

See I wouldn't mind too much but I hate being different colours on different body parts. I like to be all the one.
If I was the same colour as my arms all over it would be grand but as soon as you go to take off your top and pants and go for a dip you look really ridiculous.

    Wear a t-shirt and get a head-start on the farmers tan :D

Is that what the Sun looks like close up?

But people like to get a tan and all and I get that, it's just on sunny days in Ireland you're probably working or active so your bound to pick up an awful farmers tan. They're really awful.

Why do so many guys dress so badly in sunny weather? I'm not saying they should rush out and spend a fortune on clothes or anything, but the work boots with shorts and black socks, often completed with a beer gut straining against a t-shirt over the shorts is just plain wrong.

Then again, I saw a guy today wearing a pair of designer jeans with more designer holes in them than I've ever seen in womens jeans, he was wearing flip flops too. For some reason I don't like flip flops on men, don't know why.

Whatever you do be careful around water. Don't mean to put a downer on proceedings but whenever the sun comes out people go swimming and tragedies happen. Be careful for fúck sake.

I find the idea of celebrating the good weather by bringing a telly outside kind of funny :P

I reckon I'll bring a book and sit in the shade.

Also, how do you stop from overheating? Is it penneyes clothes, but I always sweat like mad during this weather.

Going for a run this evening. Wish I had the next few days off, but unfortunately I'll be stuck in the office. :( *sniffles*

    Moisturise every day :)

Moisturiser does not equal spf teddy. Sure you can get moisturisers with spf in them, but well just so you know, they're different things.

Don't forget to take your t shirt off and show your ultra white skin to whole of the Dublin boardwalk. With a can of cider in one hand and a smoke in the other. Dont forgot to also go swimming in the canal or take over a beach and be pissed by about 11.30 am.

    .

    OMFG OP!

You should see a doctor! You've MASSIVE hairs that look like bridges on your arm.

If this is what the Sun does to you... I'm out!

I was going to suggest plenty of sunscreen on page three,
then I realised you meant "sun"

Ok sun, carry on, no need to change anything.
We'll review again in 12 months.

I had a snooze after work, I probably should have slept outside.

It's funny you should mention that. For some reason I find it very hard to get an spf higher than 15 in a moisturiser for my husband. The bulk of mens moisturisers seem to have no spf at all.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be
    it.

Well what you need if you want higher is sunscreen that moisturises. Moisturiser with an spf is only meant as a normal (not sunny) day protector, as spf 15 would only be useful before it starts into summer. The sunscreen that moisturises generally doesn't do a great job of moisturising in my experience.

Oh and JonnyBlaze I am female

Tomorrow, I'm going for a picnic in a nice park, gonna chill and go for a wander there. When the sun dies down in the evening, it'll be off to the cinema. Working then til Sunday, but on Saturday evening myself, the bf and a group of his mates will sit out in his garden in the evening, getting drunk.

    Love this weather :)

The sun can fúck off for two more weeks until I'm finished with exams!

The sun just loves being a dickhead and coming out only when people have exams.

Not going to go down the route of knocking the Irish people but i do notice we are very very reactionary to the weather :D
First bit of sun and the short sleeves and shorts are on.

Because we never get any. It's like when you're not getting any action and then all of a sudden you're on a sex marathon. :p

You never miss the water until the well runs dry.

So am i but to be honest there is just too much of it. Every nation has its faults and idiosyncrasies. Were no different in this respect.
