I am going to be selling my car and checking out the usual sites I see there is a wide variety of prices, so I would like to get your opinions on what it is worth?

It is a 2005 Jag x type 2.0d (manual) with 114,000 miles on the clock.
I bought it in the UK 2 years ago and imported it.
It has a full service history and the DMF and clutch have been done about 6 months ago. It is in PMO.
It is booked in for NCT next week so it will have a new NCT (with about 3 months tax).
It is the Sovereign model, so has all the extras: auto lights, auto wipers, electric memory mirrors, electric memory front seats (drivers only with memory), heated windscreen, climate control, air con, cruise control, all leather, touchscreen, sat nav, premium stereo (10 speakers, incl 2 sub-woofers), aux in, multi CD in boot, voice control...

It is averaging about 43mpg mixed driving according to the onboard computer.

I'd love to think I could get €6k for it but am I in dreamer territory?

    Thanks for taking a look...

I was thinking 3,500, you won't get anywhere near 6.
Relative sold an 04 with same spec as yours for €6500 in 2010, just for perspective.

    They're both diesel
    They're both 05
    They're both x types
Its got 15,000 more miles (1200ish miles a year more)
OPs is obviously nicer (looks great in fact) but not worth a huge lot more IMO.

The only real difference is the op's has more gadgets and 2500 will buy you a huge amout of gadgets.

OPs is much nicer. I would not even go to look at other car. someone looking for this car will pay the premium IMO. As you and others on here have said many times, milage is not as important as a cared for car.

I know I paid over the odds for this in the first place for that very reason, and I am hoping someone else will be like minded. I will be happy with somewhere between €5-6k. Less than that and I would probably reconsider selling.

I need an estate car now and if I had got an x-type estate in the first place I definitely wouldn't be changing!

OP here. Just a follow up on this...

I kept the Jag last year and have just sold it a few days ago.

I got €4,550 for it and was very happy with the price in the end.
