2001 Mondeo - fix or scrap?

Hi, I have a 2001 Mondeo Zetec diesel. The exhaust box fell off the other day so needs replacing. One of the rear springs is also gone so that needs to be done also. Mileage is 225,000 but drives great, always starts etc. Does anyone have an idea how much it might cost to get these repairs done? €250-€300 would be ok but…

Does anyone have an idea how much it might cost to get these repairs done? €250-€300 would be ok but anything more might not be worth it? The NCT is due in two weeks and I don't know whether it is worth fixing it or scraping it.

I have also read recently that there is some new EU rule coming in soon, possibly next year, that will require something to be fitted on to diesel cars to reduce emissions but causes problems on short journeys - which is what I mainly use the car for.
