WTD: decent road bike with 58cm frame

I'm planning to do some road work this summer, and wanted to pick up a decent road bike in good condition for that purpose.

Aluminium frame is fine, carbon fork would be good though non-essential.

I'm a shade over 6ft, so depending on the brand a 58cm frame (or perhaps a large-skewed 56cm might do the trick at a stretch).

    A non-obsolete groupset also appreciated.

    I'm Dublin based.

So if you've something suitable in good condition that's not getting the use it deserves, please give me a shout.

    Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the offer thenashlegend ...

... the frame size would prolly not be an issue, but sadly I don't think I'd be able for the thumb-contortions required on the shimano 2300 shifters.

I'd need the new-style tiagra or 105 groups at least, to avoid the thumb shifting.

Wow! That's quite a machine, but sadly way out of my price range.

Probably should have been a tad more specific about my requirements on the groupset, I'd need tiagra (newer 10spd version) at least, or 105 preferred.

Seems like your brother already has a buyer, so I won't butt it on that, but thanks for the heads-up.

I've got a Fuji Roubaix 2 which is a year old. It's 58cm, has 2 x 10spd tiagra, alex a-class rims, schwalbe tyres, pressfit bb, oval brakes, stem and seatpost. It's a lovely bike, not a mark on it and it hasn't gotten a lot of use and is unlikely to get enough. I'm considering changing to hybrid but hadn't been 100% sure but if you're interested we could maybe do a deal. I'd be looking for 700.

Thanks for the heads-up, can you post pics?

Also, google hasn't shown up much detail for this online - is the model discontinued or something?

It may be discontinued. If you type Fuji Roubaix 2.0 2012 you should get lots of info, there are a set of images there. I swapped the Hutchinson tyres on mine for schwalbe blizzard sports which are red. I don't think I can post images as I haven't had enough posts but it's exactly the same as the ones on google and the condition is excellent. I've been offered a decent trade in but I may have a 2nd hand hybrid sourced elsewhere. If you think you may be interested I'll get pics to you some way. I may be putting it up on donedeal later on and I can post pics there.

@10Carrolls: Just saw (presumably) your ad for the Roubaix up on donedeal, not really what I'm looking TBH.

But thanks anyway for the heads-up and good luck with your sale.
