There's a guy that I really like and I want to break the ice with him basically.

We kissed before on a night out and since then we been talking but it's more awkward than what it used to be.

I would like to text him a witty joke that would get him to text back and have a decent convertstation. But I don't know how too.

I've a feeling he wouldn't text back OR if he does text back that he wouldn't find it funny and it would be more awkward in work.

Now that I am reading this post, I'm feeling like I should just ignore this whole situation and hope for the best

    Hi there OP,
I'm going to move this thread to the Relationship Issues forum, it's more suitable for there.

Don't overthink the first contact, if he wants to talk he'll respond to "How are you?" as quickly as he will to the funniest joke ever. If he doesn't respond, don't torture yourself, be happy you have your answer, put it down to experience and move on.

I just think you're over thinking to be quite honest :s Why don't you text him asking if he wants to meet up and see you? See where it goes from there maybe?
