    Hi All.

What are your views on the Dab Evosta circulation pump?
As per my previous thread my existing pump dab pump has started to make noises after 4-5 years and maybe it would be easier to swop like for like?
Would I be better off with another brand?
The dab pump is €91.00 inc vat. locally.

    Evosta

The new Dab Evosta circulator adapts to any space. With Evosta, Dab Pumps completes the Evo series ranging from Evotron to Evoplus. This version is specifically designed for the needs of heating systems and adjusted on basic needs. Primarily conceived for residential applications, given its small size and peculiar characteristics, the youngest of the Dab family is the new entry of the electronic series. - a single product that is an alternative to a wide range of products on the market, with a pressure from 4 to 7 meters, available with different system connection configurations. Like the whole Evo range, Evosta too has an energy efficiency index (EEI) of <0.23, so it is ready for August 2015, the second stage in the regulation on energy saving with more restrictive limits.

I've fitted 3 into one job as the three failed, different fault in each, then fitted the wilo yonos n been fitting them since. Dab have since rectified the problems, plus compensation.

Only concern I would have with Lowara is being a totally magnetic motor, any sludge is going to stick there & eventually block/hamper circulation.

Apparently they can rock the impeller and clear themselves.

How can it rock the impeller?
Have you ever tried to remove magnetite from a magnet? Even if it can "rock" itself, it would have to de-magnetise itself to clear it.

Sorry im wrong. I cant find where I read that. This is there solution anyway

The Ecocirc also features Xylem’s ‘anti-block technology’ which completely separates the main flow of the transferred liquid from the permanent magnetic parts, meaning the pump will never be susceptible to blockages from magnetite or sludge

    Holy ****!!!!
A plumber admits he's wrong, that was the first thing I learned when I started.
1- Never admit you are wrong
    2- shiite flows down
    3- Friday is pay day

    Let's clear something up.

I often end a post saying
    "Correct me if I'm wrong"
That does not mean I'm wrong, just that ye might be slightly more right !
