Have one on my .270 since february. Best I've used by far, changed my sonic for it. Quieter and less recoil and lighter than sonic. Have close on 80 rounds through it and very happy.

How are the guys with the Hauskens getting on? Anyone else after buying one? I was looking at one in John's at the weekend, size and weight look very impressive, could live with the price. If the reports on noise reduction are accurate this could be the silencer to go for.

Got one for my 308 last week. I was after the new silencer for a while since replaced rifle, had decision made on Dan Hardy Gen 4 but import process didn't work out for my local RFD so after reading few reviews and couple of vids on youtube decided to get myself Hausken JD224.
Fired couple of shots yesterday and was very impressed (so was my mate), with the sound reduction as well as recoil, which just wasn't there... Especially quiet it felt from the firing position, a bit louder when you standing beside, which its probably same with most of them. My mate swears he heard trigger mechanism sound when he fired:rolleyes:... but yes, it is very quiet. It reminded me my Tikka Supervarmint in 223 with an old T8 that I had at the time. Now Hausken is half the weight of the T8 and its 20" barrel 308 and not 24" heavy barrel 223 I was firing. Hausken is lighter even than most other popular ones, such as Sonic 45 or ATec Maxim. The only thing is that compared to say Atec Maxim it is thicker by .5 cm, but considering the performance its nothing, to me anyway. Price is in the same bracket as the other two as well. Will do more testing with others side by side, but first impressions were very good.
    Would definitely recommend it.

Will they go the same way as the Reflex T8, T4 after a while without being able to clean them properly?

As per instruction manual they can be fully striped for cleaning. The only thing is that the special adapter to open it is needed which is not supplied with silencer...(as in picture)

I must contact Hausken to see if they can supply one

Was giving serious consideration to a Hausken but in the meantime I discovered DPT suppressors. New zealand made 60g lighter than a hausken and €50 cheaper. Noise reduction is on par with the TET Spartan I already have but way lighter. Very happy thus far.

    I have this model .25-06 and .204
    weight is 320gr. :) , measured the noise from the side .25-06 - 65db , .204 is like a air gun.
