Exam booklet mix up

    I'll keep it short -

    - Exam today, was given two booklets and I thought, "Great, plenty of paper."
    - Did all the questions in my usual way, completely out of sequence; ended up using both booklets.
    - Get home and read the front page of exam paper: "Please use separate booklets for section A and section B of your exam." Balls.

Section A was taught by a different lecturer than section B, so now I'm guessing two different exam markers are gonna get two different booklets and are gonna think I skipped a whole bunch of questions, and see some other random answers to questions that weren't asked.

So my question is am I probably the only moron who did this and so there's a big chance the markers won't go to the trouble of contacting each other, exchanging booklets blah blah blah, and I'll end up failing; or do morons do stuff like this every year and they're gonna account for it and there'll be no penalties?

And should I contact anyone about it and let them know, or is there even any way of doing that without breaking the anonymity thing?

EDIT: Oh and also I forgot to seal the booklets with the sticky thing. Probably not a big deal?

Amy, you should be fine, but email the two lecturers if it makes you feel better. I know from experience that questions won't be just left there unmarked. It's a bit of hassle for the correctors, but such is life

I'd fire an email off to your tutor -you can find out who they are on mytcd if you don't know- explain the situation and who the lecturers correcting your script are. They might be able to get in contact with the right people and sort something out. Assuming you're a first year and its your first exam, I imagine they'd be understanding, probably happens to a lot of people.

Yup, send out a few emails, to the lecturers involved, cc your tutor and maybe your course co-ordinator. It happens, it's not a big deal, but you need to cover yourself :)

I was also one of these morons who did that for my first year chemistry exams and it ended up being fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

It was 3rd year before I started answering in separate booklets, I wouldn't worry about it.

It's just to make things easier for the lecturers. They'll mark all your stuff anyway and you'll be grand.
