    Hey guys,

I have 550e to spend on a gaming pc and I would love your advice

    1. What is your budget?
    Around 550

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?
    Gaming

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows?
    No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
    No

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? (Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.)
    No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking?
Not just yet as it's my first build. If it's an option for the future without costing too much more, great, but not crucial

    8. How can you pay?
    Paypal/Credit Card

    9. When are you purchasing?
    Ideally this week

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based?
    Dublin

That budget is plenty to get started on, it won't be phenomenal but it's a decent enough budget for a decent enough gaming pc.

    Example here
From the thread: Building a Budget-Bare-Bones-PC that I can easily upgrade in the future . .

For some reason you've left out the monitor questions. This could potentially eat up a large chunk of your budget. Do you need one?

@srumball My monitor isn't 1080p but 920p, but Metro Last Light looked feckin awesome on it!

Haven't turned it on since I built! **No optical drive, didn't bother, I'll prob grab one from old PC, and also Mouse incl in build. Went with SSD after Clan members told me was the way to go. Awesome this is so similar to mine.

    Same CPU
    Same GPU
    Corsair 430w PSU
    212 Evo
    8gb Corsair Vengeance
    1tb Seagate baracuda
320GB WD Scorpio from the dead laptop
    Asus M5a97 r2.0 mobo
    Corsair 200r case
    LG 1080p IPS monitor

    SSD on the way!

have you OC'd at all. I'm at 4.4 stable. Don't really see the need to go any higher.
MSI afterburner on the GPU to the MAX

Performs really cool and quiet under load. Mostly playing Titanfall at the moment. Need to get Metro.

I ave a habit of cranking all graphics settings t the max which limits FPS in a few games but its all good. Destroys the consoles

Really happy with the performance for the price, mine was a bit cheaper €470 or so as I already had the 2 HDD's, monitor, KB and mouse.

I have a 360 and PS4 also but only play them now with the girlfriend on COD.

Haven't OC'd yet, have to read up on it a bit more, still a noob when it comes to this stuff. SSD will make a huge difference! On checking temps, after an hour or so Processor and GFX still under 50 degrees! In saying that, Case has 5 fans as standard! I'm using afterburner for recording, it's not bad at all...Yeah, Get Last light, Looks sweet...here's a couple of you tube moments with my rig using Afterburner to record@720p
