Visiting New York - Where to celebrate 30th Birthday

Travelling to New York in November for my boyfriends 30th birthday. Any recommendations for restaurants for the night of his birthday? He is big into steak, not concerned with price. Thanks.

The Capital Grille https://www.thecapitalgrille.com/ my brother absolutely loved the place, we never made it there but planning to try it next time! He's a chef in a restaurant that specialises in steaks and reckons this place served 'the best steak he ever had' so that's a pretty good endorsement!

A few recommendations from my native NY friends:

This place has amazing steaks, almost on same level as Peter Luger's, but beats out Luger's in terms of service, atmosphere, wine list, and side dishes and appetizers. Crab Cakes are the best I've ever tasted!

I'll recommend Peter Lugers in Brooklyn too. Some of the steaks are huge though, so beware. But great food.
