    Hi all

I'm selling a SAW on behalf of a mate.
The SAW is stock, no work has been done to it bar a hop up mod to try increase the range. Also it has a shorter inner barrel and the barrel extension removed to make it more manageable in buildings.
Gearbox wise it's stock. I recently cleaned it and re greased it that's it.
Shoots fine albeit a bit slow and at around 270 fps on last check :)
comes with the standard 2500 box mag but the sound activated winding doesn't work. Also the barrel lock system was lost and has since been replaced using two black cable ties. This is barely noticeable and it's been used a few times like this with less barrel wobble than the original design.

I painted the stock and handguard OD. Doesn't come with a charger or a battery.

    Can get pics up tonight.

As for price he's looking for 240.

May be interested in trades but only really in a TM MP7 (including extras if possible), a Masada possibly or high end parts to start a project M4.
Anything else offered may be ignored it it's just non sense, sorry. But anything interesting offer away.

    Thanks for looking :)

Postage isn't possible on this. Collection preferred as I do drive but my car is in the garage.

Any intrest in an AK Spetz for it? Only used once in the hive. Comes with a battery, charger, 600 roumd mag and a laser. I also have the box for it. Its a great gun. As I said basically brand new so nothing wrong with it. Would that intrest you?

Thanks O'shea :p No thanks. And i know you're messing but i suppose it is a genuine offer at the same time so you avoid the mods.. this time :p

Thanks for the bump either way :)

    Hi there,
I have a mate that might be interested in this. Any chance you could put up a few good pics of it?
    Couple of other questions:
'Hop up mid done to try and increase the range' - Does that imply that it didn't work ie, didn't increase the range?
When you say it's slow do you mean ROF or responsiveness? What would you estimate ROF at? The box mag feed means the gun won't do much better than 20RPS.
On that subject, have there been any feeding issues with the box mag?
270FPS seems low, as you've worked on the gearbox would you happen to know what spring is in there?
    Is the carry handle included?
Is there a barrel extension? Seems kinda stubby.

He's looking for something in a support weapon, more or less standard that could be improved upon This seems like a likely candidate.
    Thanks for your time.

well the SAW hop up design isn't great at all. Any SAW not just this one, so a mod was done to try and improve the range. It did work, the nature of the hop up design however means it will never be as accurate as an assault rifle.
I mean RoF, I'd estimate it do be in the mid teens. No none at all, apart from the initial problem with the box mag there have been no actual misfeeds or anything of the sort :)
It's a guarder M85 that's in it as far as i remember the last time i worked on it.
Yes the carry handle is part of the outer barrel assembly.
Yup there is a barrel extension, the outer barrel was shortened to accommodate moving in buildings but the barrel can be lengthened by fitting the extension back on. I'll try get more pictures, Anything in particular you're looking for?

Thanks for the response, Just looking to get a good look at it. Like I said, my mate is after a support type weapon and was thinking m60 but for me the SAW is a more solid machine with better internals.

they're easier to work on too :) take mostly V.2 internals.
My mate has the SAW in his hosue and he's in college in Limerick, now he came home last night so I'll see if he's still home and gets some pictures before he goes back up :)

    That's great. Thank you.
Actually, can you tell me... is this the gearbox with the quick release system for the spring?

I'll get them up ASAP, really up to him but I'll get him on it :)
Yup it is indeed. Take the pistol grip off and then a few screws and the whole gearbox comes out, then you can change the spring from there. Very handy when doing work as you can release the tension first and then the gearbox is really easy to put back together as you don't have to deal with the tension of the spring when you're trying to close it.

More pictures, hope theres are of some use to you.
The first on shows there's writting on the box mag, it's just our team name. sure it'll come off pretty easy with some acetone or something (nail polish remover).

Also he told me I put in Ultimate gears? don't recall but hey if they're in there, all the better for your mate :p

Ok, I've been talking to my buddy and he'll offer €180 cash collected.

It can be bought new inc. battery, charger and shipping for about €300.
He'll also need to budget to invest to have the weapon 'Be all it can be' - parts etc. reckon €60 to €80.

any chance he can push it to 200? it's a pretty heft bit of kit like, not just your standard AR.

I'll check with him now. Do your buddy have the original inner barrel?

cheers. If the barrel is still around, it'd be in my house. I maintain all the rifles for my team and friends. I'll have a look, the extension is definitely around here somewhere :)

    Hi there,
The bottom line is he'll do 190, subject to inspection.
There's work to be done on it, a few fixes upgrades etc. and he'll need to keep hold of some cash for that.
If the barrel's not there I can sort something out but the outer extension is essential.

yeah he'll take 190. I'll have a look for the extension and a barrel for it. We're both basically in the middle of exams, hence why relaying information is taking a while but we can sort something out via PM if you're happy now :)
