Eircom email on IPhone

    My iPhone won't let me send email from my eircom account but I can receive them.. Anyone able to help? Tried countless different ways but no joy :'(

    You need to use a different SMTP secure server with eircom. Try using the gmail settings for outgoing mail and see how you get on. I use a secure AT&T SMTP server in the US for mine.

    you have to set your smtp server to that of your network provider. i.e. if you're using o2 it will be smtp.o2.ie

    Check your network providers site for details.

    Thanks a million outgoing gmail worked. . Thought I had tried it ages ago but must have forgotten to turn off the primary one :) thanks again!
