How long does it take for someone to no longer be dependent on nicotine?

I'd like to start this thread off by saying I don't smoke.(Not tobacco anyway)
A question just popped into my head, personally, I used to be a big caffeine addict, if I didn't have any caffeine I'd feel like crap. I learned that caffeine can cause significant damage after years of use, so I decided I'd stop consuming so much caffeine. I quit it cold turkey, and after 2 weeks I was grand. This made me think, with nicotine, how long is that window where you experience long withdrawal symptoms?

each case is different.some people get of them and have no problem.some people never get over it.they still like the smell of it.

The duality of physical and mental addiction, coupled with individual triggers, makes this question unanswerable.

The only certainty is that time erodes any addiction.

I stopped smoking using Nicabate Minis 92 days ago, then the shops ran out and I switched to another brand lozenge only 2mg instead of 4. I am now down to one or two lozenges a day. The other day, unusually, I really wanted a smoke, then I realised I had not had a lozenge all day. I am well on the way. Good Luck.
