    Taken from another forum.

A good reason to try and use 30% or above PG in your e-juice.

Antibacterial and antifungal properties of propylene glycol in vitro.
    Published Acta Derm Venereol. 1991;71(2):148-50.

The antimicrobial properties of propylene glycol- against Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pyogenes A, Streptococcus mitis, and E. coli were studied in vitro.

Within 20 h, 30% propylene glycol in fresh tryptic soy broth were able to kill all the micro-organisms listed above.

Doesn't VG have anti bacterial properties too, not as powerful as PG......sure I read that somewhere....

    Interesting article indeed....
They determined that inhaling Propylene Glycol in levels which were significantly higher than would be common under any circumstances did not have any ill effects on the monkeys used for the study. The only significant effect they noted was weight gain

I put on weight after quitting smoking, was blaming it on quitting....but now ???

Negative. VG may be best according to Farsalinos.

In fact, glycerin-based liquids had much lower formaldehyde levels in vapor compared to PG or PG/VG liquids, suggesting that they are much safer to use.
