I've been researching Guinness Storehouse and came across how, under Lord Iveagh, there was free medical care, there was properties built for employees to rent and some pretty good benefits. I'm just wondering what it's like for employees now. What benefits do they get? Do minimum wage employees get any benefits? Guinness are known for treating their employees well, just wonder how it's evolved or if it hasn't evolved at all.

You won't get any factually based answers here OP, you will find most employees in every industry in the world will be pretty private about their income and benefits package. They certainly won't be broadcasting it on a public internet forum. I would disregard all the info in the above post aside from Guinness now trading as Diageo.

If you need information for research purposes I would suggest you contact the Guinness Archives located in the Storehouse. The ladies there are very very helpful and will give you as much info as they can. You will get the contract details by calling the Storehouse reception

Why wouldnt he get factually based answers here?
Why should he disregard the info I said its quite true and verifiable There is two sides to the brewery the one you want people to hear and the one you want to hide. When I was there even though it was minimum wage agency work it was still the best job I ever had the spirit inside was of a real team.
The only benifits we ever got was a lift in the Ambulance if someone got hurt didnt happen very often and cheap booze.
and then more booze feckin booze coming out of our ears. keg plant rb store export warehouse more than you could ever want anyone to know.
All the pay scales are advertised when positions are put on the various sites as well as the other health pensions etc.

Was in the storehouse last year, what a waste of money it was,i expected the best pint at the end of it,it was no different than a pint pulled in any pub across the country.
