    hello,

iv a 21w 12v 3 pin flasher unit, trying to connect it to a one indicator light with 2 pin and 1 12v battery.

just give me a basic step to step guide on how to connet it all up

p.s i looked at some diagrams and for some reason why is the negative wire on a battery not connecting to the lights etc? just the positive wire to the lights etc?

There is no need, the body and chassis are the earth when connected to the battery.
