Golf club (stick) found Dollymount beach

    Hello golfers.

I found a golf club, not a whole club as in a building, members, bar etc... but a stick that you hit the ball with (excuse my ignorance) whilst digging a car out of soft sand on Dollymount beach (wooden bridge end). It's shaft is of a very light grey material (graphite, carbon?) and the bottom of it is rounded and bulbous looking. the part that connects the ball is sort of a cut off flat area made of some sort of light ridged metal. The handle is wrapped with a grippy black material. It looks like a kind of weighted stick that one would use to hit a ball a very long distance.

I'm not sure if a golfer had a monumentally epic rage incident and managed to hurl the thing from the golf course on the island that far or if it was just left there, or maybe fell out of the car, could have been stolen and dumped, but it looks shiny, new, it's very light and fairly well crafted and it looks expensive.

I'm away from home now and I didn't bring it with me so I can't offer any more detail, but I'll be home on Monday.

PM me if you own it or if you know someone that lost a stick.

Cut me some slack regarding my descriptions and any confusion I have caused, I'm not a golfer, but a kite surfer that appreciates the cost of good gear that happened to come across something.

    Enjoy your weekend.

Sounds interesting - can we see a picture of it perhaps JohnRambo ?

Worst case - like many kitesurfers you could always use it to pretend you're a golfer when travelling on low-cost airlines with your Switchblades !

Donated Kace!! To a worthy cause, a keen young fella with a not so keen wallet. (from what I can gather it wasn't exactly a top notch club anyway) And yeah, "golf bags" very very popular with the kite surfing fraternity with a big quiver! I presume you kite and golf? You should come up with a novel sport that involves both, blazer AND boardshorts over the wetsuit!
