This computer will really only be used for the internet, teamviewer and the odd game. Is it a bit overkill?

No need for that StarTech network adapter as the motherboard will have a decent gigabit LAN built-in.
And probably no need for the sound card, unless you are an audiophile and really need it.

That CPU is the non k version(not overclock-able) whereas the motherboard is usually a good one for overclocking.
So if you are not into over-clocking, you could lower the motherboard down to a bit to save €€€.
Or get a k type CPU like the Intel Core i5 4670K to fully utilise the motherboard potential.

Also that CPU cooler is beautiful but expensive, why not go for the Cooler Master Hyper 212 which is also excellent, and less than half the cost?

Also the Fractal R4 case has 2 decent case fans already, so that 140mm fan seems like over-kill a bit.

    Just some quick thoughts. :)

    TYVM Moon.

I made some changes which you suggested and used the savings to bump up the CPU and RAM. Any other suggestions? I would hope that this machine would last at least 5 years, I presume it's 'future-proofed' sufficiently yes?

Your overspending on everything really. Hardwareversand isn't working properly at the minute but will do up a build shortly.

Replace the i7 4770 with a xeon. Same thing but no integrated graphics and is much cheaper. You could also just get a i5-4440 as doubt you will be using the hyperthreading on the xeon or i7
You don't need 16GB of ram unless your doing video editing or Photoshop or backups or something along those lines, same goes with the xeon and i7. Ram is very expensive at the minute as well.
All the parts listed there are very overpriced. You can get a much better PC for the price. If you are planning on gaming I would get a better graphcis card. Something along the lines of the GTX 760 or the R9 270.
Do you really need a 100 euro case and a CPU cooler if not overclocking?

For 870 euro you could get an i5 4440 and a R9 290 into the build. Do you do much gaming?
